It worked pretty well, but the process of reviewing footage sucked, it also wasn't great in low light, so didn't do great on heavy cloud days, or down deep. Champ is pretty clear, but seeing fish was pretty hard at times as well. it is also in the way when setting gear and stuff, trying to get it out of the boat and behind riggers without tangling stuff was a bit of a struggle. I do plan to try it again in the spring though. I really wish someone would come up with a Fishhawk Video system, wireless direct feed of live video that could be put inline on a rigger. I love running right on the ball with my laker gear and that would be a trip to see live video of the gear!
The musky Charter I did this past fall he had a video setup that sent a live feed to a monitor in the cabin. Very cool but I don't believe it's yet commercially available I know they're working on it. Water Wolf charters which coincidentally has no affiliation with the Water Wolf Camera

I think there are WiFi cameras that work for that in shallow water, same concept as how drones send love video back, but for deep water WiFi and BT signals don’t pass efficiently, so range diminishes quickly. Was the setup on that boat on trolling gear?

2/4/2019 was out ice fishing today and was talking to a guy walking in and i asked him how the bite was and he said he lost a salmon at the hole and also lost a brown. one thing led to another and he said likes to fish salmon here in the spring and walleyes up at the st lawrence river also . when he said i usually video my trolling with water wolf cameras. i said are they complicated and he said not at all just take the card out plug it in your computer. he says he runs 4 of them all the time. i told him im not much for electronics and he said start using it you will be surprised how easy it is. it just doesnt work well in murky water. he was very positive so i think im going to be trying it this spring casting and in the trout ponds

Here is a little video of a king strike from last year out to the Niagara bar using a water wolf. cloudy day and a little bumpy. i don't know what the screeching comes from, might possibly be the reel drag transmitting down the line to the mic in the camera. you might wanna turn the volume down, its annoying. gotta learn how to edit it out...

Mike, I get an error when trying to open your video "This video is unavailable".
Anyone else having that issue?

My son has watched many episodes of The Uncut Angler (Aaron Wiebe) and now I am catching up on them. Aaron has several ice fishing videos in which he uses an underwater camera, tho not a Water Wolf. Amazingly, he now shootssome of the videos by himself.

Fish behavior is similar to the landlocked salmon in Lake Champlain seen in the Water Wolf videos posted on this forum.

Here's a link to an ice fishing episode.
