Lowrance HDS. Software upgrades

Have had my Lowrace HDS gen2 for some years now. Are there software patches/upgrades that are worth doing for the type of fishing we do on Champlain ? Especially the cold water stuff. Tx

What software are you running now. 6.0 is last update fore the Gen 2 touch.
