Caspian Lake Iceout?

Postby Grampydg (Dick) » Sun Apr 12, 2020 7:45 am

Anyone able to get out on Caspian the 1st day? Or is it still locked up? Was there March 5 before the Covid-19 started and the ice was getting pretty soft then. Any info appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the report on Caspian. I thought that was the case after seeing the news report about Joes Pond contest. Any report when its boat able is appreciated.

The ice is finally gone on Caspian. I talked with a guy that was fishing Willoughby 2 days ago and he was breaking new ice first thing in the morning. The northeast kingdom lakes are still cold even though some have not had ice for a month.
