Carmi Run
Set out from Burlington at 1:00p.m. Sat. headed to lake carmi. After a store and Dockside stop we landed at the State Park ramp at 2:30. It was a mob scene. I have never seen so many trucks and people up there. Most were up there since early day no doubt. There is a pressure crack just north of the beach. We set up north of that. Seven and a half inches of honey comb ice. Two of us set up tip ups and ran until 6:30. Four small northerns and three nice perch. Most people we talked to were doing about the same. I don't believe walleyes were biting that well as we only talked to one guy that got any. I was told it snowed every day last week up north, but only an inch and a half on the ice. It will be nicer when we can drive out.

Re: Carmi Run
I heard Carmi really took a beating in the spring when Champlain waters were too high for most. It sounds like the pressure is back on the fish with Champlain being open water for the most part.
Thanks for the report Jeff.
