Lake Arrowhead is fishable

Post by Fishdawg »

While driving by Lake Arrowhead this morning I could see where someone had fished on the big part of the lake about 400 yards north of the dam. I also saw that someone had driven a car out onto the lake. Only saw the tracks, but was somewhat in disbelieve that someone had the balls to drive on it. I didnt see anysign of them breaking thru. :o :o :o

You did see return tracks right??
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will go buy a boat.

Lake is starting to freeze in certain spots. Went today and got a few dozen Perch...this warm weather doesn't look too promising for us though.

lol, Arrowhead is only 2-4 ft dep unless you are in the old river channel when on the north section... I bet the guy stayed in the shallows in case he broke thru. Ice looks fishable yesterday...

There is some truth in the old saying that "God takes care of fools and drunks" if you ask me and from some things that I have seen over the years.

Now which was it driving on the ice, a fool or a drunk? Possibly a drunken fool?

Fished almost 4 hours in the rain yesterday on the north end between the highbridge and river channels west of the boat launch. The boys and I drilled dozens of holes, all were around 4" thick.
No a singlle bite, switched up bibbets, spoons, halis... everything, nothing in the shallows or in the depth of the channels.
Current is strong in the channels...
No way going out on it today, too warm...ice probably thinned out overnight...wait until it dips below freezing tonight, hopefully will be safe tomorrow or later on this week.

Brave going near river mouth this time of year... Try the Chanel in front of the georgia shore near the Milton boarder... In a few days you will be able to follow the fourwheeler trail..
