Bite was slow but what a beautiful day to be on the hard water!
Got enough perch for a meal and some tasty perch eggs also!

Sat was a sick day to be out. Got real warm out there in the pm. Perch bite was good up at Tabors. Even got a a pike.

Finally, some good weather on a weekend day! The ice has formed nicely. Went out to the outer Malletts Bay. The tip up fishing was slow, but still managed a big laker and pike. The laker was fat and clean of lamprey scars. Maybe 8 lbs and he went back down the hole to continue growing. Caught it in 25 feet of water with the minnow about 5 feet below the hole on a medium shiner and a size 8 hook.
