Old faithful Sandbar

Post by Registered Kayak »

Glad to finally be out on the ice :)
Went out for the second time at the sandbar today. I have been itching to use my aqua vu to see whats under the ice. Never had an idea of how many bass and bullheads are in that area!! Anyhow, tungsten jigs in yellow perch pattern (5mm) with some butter worm have been assisting me in pulling up ample yellow perch close to the 1ft range and the occasional pumpkinseed ;)
my favorite part of using the camera is when I get to watch my favorite species come in for bait inspection.
below is a very healthy and wary 31" and as per usual, it was released and harder to catch for next time 8-)

Very nice.
I'm guessing the south side of the sandbar?
