Good luck and be safe on the early ice. At this rate of cold temps we'll have ATVs on the ice come Christmas :shock:

crown point south was froze yesterday don't know about today after last night weather

Hit a little pocket bay that had some ice over shallow water ,real shallow as in a safe four ft.. Plenty of yellow perch for the pan in just a few minutes.... Be safe out there ....

How thick was the ice? You must be the 1st to ice fish champlain. Nice work Dave!

I would bet Keelers Bay has some pockets to fish thru the new ice.

There was about three inches if you included the anchor ice that held,everything together. After this snow,I would not go out there until we get a melt and refreeze. Just "ain't" worth it.

how is the ice down there now i have been fishing up north in the rivers with lots of ice flows. have you been out yet fishing?
