Congrats on a fine Island fishing derby

The ice and weather was perfect for a weekend of fishing in the Island Derby! Our crew of 5 iced 6 lakers and 4 northern as well as some nice slab perch. Congrat's to Joanie (Seanympho) and Fount both from my crew that I believe took first place and second place Lakers (11 1/2 lb and 11 lb respectively). It makes Joanie the laker champ 2 years running! The best ice we've had in several years!! Joanie's 10" auger for valentines Day last year paid off!

The Laker was 11.77. I have not seen any official results. Also a pic of some that did not place however they are all filleted and in the freezer for the next fish fry. Thanks guys for a GREAT weekend on the ice!

Had a good time fishing with fishdawg,and the fish fry that joanie put on hit the spot.Congrats on the lake trout ,you and dave cought.I met some new friends had some great laughts.
