Monster Champlain salmon!!!!!!
Monster Champlain salmon!!!!!!
GOTCHA...........Sorry guys but the reports haven't really been pouring in lately so I thought I'd try to liven things up a bit. Had a nice spread of tip ups this afternoon but not a whole lot of luck. Couple of dink perch, couple of average northerns and a "mystery bite" as I was picking up at the end of the day. Flag goes up as I was walking towards it, get to it pretty quick and the spool isn't moving. I figure its a perch since northerns almost always take off for Canada and peel off a bunch of line real fast when they hit a minnow. I grab the line and feel some resistance so I give it a tug to set the hook. Definitely not a perch but something much bigger. Wasn't fighting like a northern but I lost it halfway to the hole so I'll never know. Must have been that 12 pound walleye I've been looking for!!!! Anyone else having any luck on the pond, it's been painfully slow for me and for most other fishermen I've talked to.
