Carmi

Post by Mscott »

Me and a friend fished lake carmi in Franklin this morning as we heard the ice was very solid. Sure enough, 12-15 inches everywhere we drilled. Small perch were biting flatheads and jigs in 10-20 fow, but we didn't set any records and the others around us had similar luck. Some pike and walleye were taken in the south end of the lake, but the fishing was slow overall. It was my first time to carmi and we met some very friendly people. There was a lot of truck, snow machines and four wheelers out on the ice, which tends to make me nervous, but we didn't see anybody sink! Glad to see a warden out politely checking licenses.
