auger attachment for 4 wheeler

Post by Salmonseeker »

Does any know where I can find a attachment for my 4 wheeler to hold my power auger that will allow it to move straight up and down so I can use it to drill a lot of holes and not have to remove it from the holder.

I am pretty sure cabellas sells one but may be pricy. My friend made one using one of the tracks off from a Nordic trac, he welded a bracket on he bottom that mounted to frame of wheeler and on the slide that attaches to the rail he welded a bracket that cradled the auger. Might be more than you are looking to chew off but it can be done. Hope I helped

I have one on my fourwheeler that my boyfriend built. We have a brand new 10" Jiffy ( which I got for Valentines day last year) attached. I can drill all the holes effortlessly! I will dig into my pics to show you.

You can make one out of an old auxiliary engine bracket from a small sail boat. I saw one once on Moosehead lake.

There was a small business out of New Hampshire that made the best set up for your auger that went into the receiver on the back.

They sold for around $500 6 years ago. They worked slick and easy! Well built. Don't know if there still in business. I have one of there advertisements. I will check at work today.

Googled it and they were called Auger Caddy. Vertical system mounted in the hitch receiver. Been out of business since 2008.

Here is my auger on my four wheeler. It has a spring attached counterweight as well which makes it super easy for me to handle. Manufactured by Goose at HydroPrecision in Colchester. Also a pic of a Lake Trout and a Northern from a couple of weeks ago.
