Bass fishing fort Ticonderoga area

Post by Sawyer »

Traci and I did some Bass fishing this past weekend with great success. We fished north of the Fort on the NY side we didn't keep track of the numbers but in one place we got over 16 Bass without moving it's been the best Bass fishing for us ever. Any one else haveing good fishing?

Up north the bass bite has stayed steady, nothing extraordinary. Fish seem to relocate every time we get one of these cold rains which is a pain. My buddy pulled a 4lb smallmouth looking beautiful and healthy (and pregnant), out of straight up chocolate milk water on the Winooski river on Monday. Only second bass of the day though, after fishing all afternoon around the mouth. I do not have a motorboat though so I am limited in my spots.

Were your fish largemouth or smallmouth? I've not yet targeted LMs this year.

Hopefully heading out tomorrow on a friend's boat so will report back. Also hoping that in a week or two I'll be the one catching nonstop bass here up north once it warms up a bit!! If it ever does....
