Verizon or AT&T?

Post by karl »

Which carrier has the best broadband coverage on the lake itself?
My main area of interest is the northern part of the lake, from Burlington to Rouses Point.

I'm less concerned about cell voice coverage, but voice and data coverage will probably go hand in hand.

Anyone here have smart phone or iPad experience on that part of Champlain?

thanks-

Karl

I don't know about broadband. Is that the same carrier signal as phone?
Anyway, my cell service is good most places.
All I do know is that when I fish with verizon subscribers I get asked to borrow my phone a lot.... AT&T for me.

I had verizon and it sucked on the lake. Now that I have AT&T I get better service IMO.

I have Verizon for cell and it sucks on the North end of the lake. I have an Att Data plan for my iPad and have had no issues. When my contract is up with Verizon I will be switching my cell over as well.

Appreciate the feedback. I'm going to get an iPad3 when it's released in March, and guess going with AT&T is the only choice.

Northern Champlain is one of very few areas where Verizon comes in 2nd...

Our family plan wife/daughter/son had att while I've always had VW. They finally switched to VW because att service was so bad.
