I've been looking at Raymarine's SPX-5R at several places online and have two questions :
1) Aside from the inclusion of the Control Head with the "System" , is there any difference between the "System" @ $ 1,699.00 versus the "Core Pack" @ $ 1,699.00 . If not why would they cost the same ? Am I missing something ?
2) The processor has rated use up to 80% humidity. Anyone have problems w/unit in the rain ?
Thanks , Jack

There is a price error on Raymarine web site. The "Corepack" does not have the Control unit, which retails for around $500.
The "System" retails for $1999.99 but is available for around $1650 on the web.
I got mine last summer and love it.
I installed the computer unit under the dash, so it is protected from rain and waves. So far no problem.
