I hope so there has been a lot of work on bringing back the Champlain walleye.

Well by the pictures and reports this year I would have to say the walleye is back to Champlain!!! Do you fellas feel the alewifes are part of the reason? Whatever the reason its really good to see there return !! Sleeps

I'm leaning towards high water early causing much less weed growth thus allowing people to catch Walleye in the 'old' spots and using old techniques...

These are not young fish being caught, so they have been 'somewhere' literally for years...

It's simply that people have not adapted to the lake the same way that the fish have...

My theory anyway...

I'm thinking in the next few hours or so fishing walleye's will be good with the wind laying down and after blowing in the same direction for a couple of days trying your favorite point or reef may produce, good luck if anyone goes out before the store comes in! :)

I couldn't agree more. It's odd that most of the eyes shown seem to ALL be large. Where are the future mosters hiding???

Makes one wonder what the future will bring.
