Unfortunately, we have, in fact, canceled the ice derby for this year. A number of factors played into this, including ice conditions, irresolvable liability issues, scheduling conflicts for the boat access, sponsorships, and a few other cards that didn’t fall into place.

We are still committed to establishing an ice event on, or near, Champlain. The pieces didn’t fit for this year, so instead of moving ahead with a derby that may or may not have lived up to the expectations people have of LCI events, we have postponed until we can present what we feel lives up to our standards.
