Thorny's new ride! The "Cathy-Jean Fishin-Machine"

Postby Thorny » Sun Aug 28, 2011 7:36 pm

About 2 weeks ago my Beautifull Wife mentioned that she thought it was time to upgrade the boat. As you might imagine,I agreed! Not that there is anything wrong with the old Thorny. But after 15 years in the old boat she thought that the new Capt might want an up grade. I was surprised by how quickly I found exactly what I wanted. I did not hesitate to pull the trigger after I saw and drove her. We are going to christen her the "Cathy-Jean Fishin-Machine" after my wife of course. I took a couple of pics and I will give you the Craigslist link to check it out. It test drove like a Raped Ape. This boat is in great shape. Its never had a hole drilled in her! I plan on transfering most of my gear on to her, along with new side curtains, back drops and a completely rigged transom and gunwhale with traxstecks riserbars(I think). I promise to follow up with a complete set of before and after pics. This is going to be fun!

Well, well, well. Ain't that just beautiful! Congrats on the purchase of the Cathy-Jean Fishin-Machine Rob.
Looks like it'll be a fish killin machine!
I know you well enough to know your going to have a riot setting up this boat fresh, the way you want it, the way you know it should be. Looks like it's going to be a fun platform to fish from.

Surely the Thorny won't have any issues getting sold. I can hear it now...someone yelling
"I BOUGHT THE THORNY" "Yee-Haa!" "Fish-on!"
Catch and serve with lemon.

nice platform Rob. A 25ft.c- hawk with a pilot house was the first boat that i fish out of on lake O more then 25 yrs. ago. very seaworthy and alot of room to work. im sure its new owner will have it not only a fishing machine but a fish catching machine!!!

Once you go fiberglass, you'll never go back. Enjoy the ride. Very nice Thorny.

Rob,

My 2nd view. You stole that boat! Where did you find her? The transfer of fish catching stuff from your old boat is going to be a lot of fun. Very envious!
