Thanks.

we've got two Shappell 3000's. One is black, the other is camo. We like them.
We are able to butt them up, end to end with the joined ends open and have a long 4-man shanty when we take grand kids.

depends on whether you're going to use it for jiging perch or for tip ups. If you use it for tip-ups you need a lot of clear window area,if no,then you need it dark in there

Lateforwork...I have a shappell 3000dx that i am trying to sell. Used it about a half dozen times and is like new. Only selling it because I don't use it. I am usually not a tip up guy and move a lot in search of panfish so a flip over is better suited for me. I have been asking 150 for it but could drop to 100 if you were interested. Call me on my cell if interested 518.396.6665. I'd be willing to meet you in Manchester if you were interested.

Blue Lund - I got a Shappel last week - it was a Christmas gift for my son. Thanks for the offer. I should have toss out that question a week sooner.

That was a nice gift!
Blue's price is dirt cheap for a 3000. If I wanted another...I would have jumped on it!

You'd think at that price for a shanty used a handful of times it would go fast. Ironically after posting on 2 forums and the local Albany craigslist I have had no bites. Oh well, I guess I will just hold onto it for the rare time I need to use a not so mobile of a shanty.
