You should check out Stream and Brook Fly Fishing for some great pictures. These guys are pure predators with fly rods and get some great fish. They mostly specialize on trout but will catch anything...pike, carp, pickeral, bowfin, gar and more on fly rods. This time of year they are looking for landlocks like many are. This picture is off their Facebook page. Check it out if you can. I check out their website to catch up on river conditions and they are frequently posting pictures of some awesome fish. This was just a beautiful salmon that I thought many here would appreciate.
You are likely right Ron. That is from their facebook page. I didn't realize that it might be fishfarmer but didn't want to put the guy's name over here anyway. That fish went 7.83 lbs. If he's connected to the guys at Stream and Brook, he's certainly dialed in.
Nice fish!!!, I regularly check their website for the reports they post, very informative! I'd love to do what they do....fish for a living! Someday, someday! Thinking about starting to travel next year each weekend within a 100 mile radius to hit as many spots as I can, just gotta find someone to come with me.
Shhh don't tell anyone. It is one of two Master Angler fish I caught this week. She was 26.25" long and 15" in girth. Took a big eye Mickey Finn. She was full of eggs. She jumped about four times, very strong fish. This is currently my personal second best salmon, best salmon was an 8.75 lb male caught many years ago in Dunmore. My third best salmon was from the Saranac 7.75 lbs, also a female.
I also caught a 24" brown on Sunday. I only need two more for my Master Angler pin. I'm thinking laker and steelhead, but would settle for a fallfish or cisco.
One of the Stream and Brook anglers happened to be driving in while I was getting ready to go back to work and pick up my camera which I forgot.
