FROSTBITE SALMON SHOOTOUT 2011 (UPDATED!!!)

This will be the third year for the ANNUAL FROSTBITE SALMON SHOOTOUT

This year the date is set for Saturday November, 5th with alternate date of Sunday November, 6th

No entry fee and no pre-registration!!!

#1. Limited to the confines of Lake Champlain.

#2. Gentleman's Start at Sunrise from port of choice.

#3. One Landlocked Salmon 20 Inch minimum per angler.

#4. 1:00 PM weigh in at the Docks of Point Bay Marina (http://pointbaymarina.com/), heaviest fish wins.

#5. Barbecue!!!! Bring something to grill/share!

One scale to weigh all fish and Heaviest fish wins this Rotational Trophy with your name added. Yours to display for a year!

The Frostbite Salmon Shootout winner gets a trophy.
The winners name is engraved on the trophy, and the winner gets to keep the trophy untill the next year, when the trophy will be "cycled" to the new winner.
Randy designed the trophy and had it built from his own funds. It's a beauty!


The first winner (2009) was Kevin Favreau fishing from the boat MARKNFISH.


The winner of the Second Frostbite Salmon Shootout was Ron Winter, fishing from his own vessel the DIGITROLL.

Squat year one, and a third place fish in 2010.

Sadly I'm going to miss this great event once again I just can't stand to miss any of the "Pre-rut" days of fall bowhunting...... UHG!! I have too many hobbies

Good luck guys!!! I regard this as the most recognized accomplishment for lake Champlain. The LCI derby and such are more left for "Luck" and "Chance" due to the overwhelming amount of fisherman entered. This is a true testament to the local fisherman and their dedication and understanding of their fishery.
