Saturday November 6, Alt. 7th
Rules:
No Registration
Gentlemen's Start From Port of Choice
Confines of Lake Champlain
Fish From Sunrise with 1PM weigh in at Point Bay
Come By Water only
1-20 inch minimum Landlock taken while trolling
Heaviest fish weighed on the same scale wins
No spawning period dark salmon Please.
Bring food to share at Barbecue
Fully Vaccinated persons only Please.
Others please enjoy the day fishing.

Todd Flynt 2019 Winner has held the trophy for two years and is now quite attached to it. Sounds like someone will have to pry it from his hands :D

We have permission from Todd at Point Bay and a permit in hand from VT Fish & Wildlife. Looks like we have a Go!

After checking with my doctor and reviewing with her of an outbreak of covid at a wedding in Barre that infected vaccinated guests we have decided we can go ahead with the barbecue. It is outdoors and we can observe safe protocols to everyone's comfort level. If Covid cases somehow spike before the event we will cancel the Barbecue and go Derby only.

The gathering will be on the lower lot this year as Todd has the upper area full of masts and boats. Don't be later than 1PM for weigh in as someone will already be owning the trophy.

Some truly amazing fish have been caught this year and we look to have a new Shootout record on the board . The bar was set high with Patrick Clarks 2013 25.5 inch 8lb 6oz winning entry.

Gather up your teams and dust off your best recipes. Spread the word for a good size fleet. I look forward to seeing you all and some real competition on the podium.
Hope for some stable dry weather. Best Luck & Fish On!

Maybe Ron can post the Tally of years thru 2019 for review as I have somehow misplaced the datafile.

Weather is what it is. I hope that we find bait and that the fish are chewing! Serenity will be on 68 and we'll see everyone at the pot luck/weigh-in!

The Border is to be open for travel this Early November.
Hopefully it's in time for the Shootout.
None the less we will be able to again fish with our friends from the North. :D

Excited for my First Shootout! COVID has delayed my inauguration! I will be out there, with my 11 Y.O. Son and hopefully a few others. Thanks so much for putting this on. If I can assist in any way, I would be more than happy too! I'll be out Practicing this weekend, probably the Inland Sea. I'll be on 68 if anyone is out on Saturday afternoon or Sunday. Be well everyone!!!

TruViking - 2:13 AM!? Were you gong to bed or waking up? I'm early in the AM, for the gym and the office, but not that early! I used to say that only think that would get me up before 4:30 was a duck hunt!

Ha! I had just finished studying for an exam.
Being a 47 y.o. Junior at UVM, I tend to need as much time as possible!

So the border is going to open November 8,2021 Just a couple of days after the shootout. However the Canadian Government hasn't changed the requirements to back to Canada. Must fill out the Arrive Canada form, Have a negative test and an ID.
