Hi all,

Looking to add a battery jump starter to my boat bag in case of emergencies. Looking at the NOCO Boost Plus GB40 1000 but am curious what unit you guys have used and if you have any feedback.

I carry a small car battery jump starter. Nothing fancy. If it can start a car engine, it should not have any problem cranking an outboard.
I used it a few times during the winter to boost the car, and my Harley once, but not used on boat yet.

Thanks Getcha! It sounds like the NOCO Boost Plus GB40 1000 should fit the bill

Yeah not much to share. I was looking at either this one or the NOCO boost. After taking a look at reviews I found that the Hulkman was just as good if not better. What it didn't have was the price tag or long term reviews like the NOCO did. The reviews I did read were promising. The Hulkman does have a nice display on it and it is pretty hefty. I plan on carrying it in my truck during the winter. When I did use it I had forgotten to check my starter battery. I noticed that the battery was weak as it was barely lowering the engine while trimming down after removing my transom saver. I turned on the charger and hooked it up to my battery. It started the engine effortlessly. After that I had to use it later in the day as it was a short haul from the dock to the fishing grounds. Once again it started right up. This charger will have a home on my boat whenever it leaves the house. Happy to answer any specific questions.

Hey Striper! I think you'll be pleased. I have stupidly forgotten to charge my starting battery a couple of times and the Hulkman worked great. I've also helped jumped a couple of folk's battery. It's super nice to have it onboard as a backup. Let me know what you think.
