Joke They took 2 calls neither of which concerned the closure. One on bear management (off topic) and one on lack of native brook trout. Perhaps lowering the limit on brook trout (currently 12) might help

Can't believe that Porter still thinks that lowering trout stocking numbers, 25%, even after 10 years, is a cost saving move. He talked about declining revenue streams. They should concentrate their efforts on increasing revenue. They will definitely be seeing a revenue drop when out of staters start spending their hard earned money in states that cater to fishermen. Looks like Scott will not be running again and doesn't care about anything but a balanced budget. Usually when times are tough, a 5% across-the-board cut in all departments is well deserved wake up call. Not lopping off an entire department.
