Fishhawk X2 New portable option just released!

Post by digitroll (ron) »

Short video introduction. This is awesome! I should have one to display at next February's "Winter Workshop" series at the Fishhawk table.

I am trying to buy another X4D, and you can't get them anywhere.
best I can tell they won't have them until November.

I look forward to using the X2 on my brother-in-law's 20 ft Starcraft out in Michigan a trip we make every year. One is on the way! Very portable and easy to travel with and setup!

There is an adaptor plate from Trax Techs they offer as an accessory to mount the display and just slide in the track as well.

For folks with no downriggers on a kayak / canoe / utility boat here is a great option:

Ron - I'm curious how you think the 1 lb ball will work if separated from the downriggers which utilize much heavier balls. I'd be afraid of the blowback perhaps entangling the lure if on a long set back, or else it would be so far from the zone that it's not really near the lures and thus may not be showing accurate data. Great idea, just wondering how it works in execution. Thoughts?

Scott,

It looks like a homemade or a Torpedo diver in that photo. I might try something a bit heavier than 1 lb. if your trolling for salmon. I agree with you!
