I know I said early on I'd be interested. But now that there is a date, it's already on my calendar to do nothing that day but be there. Whoppee. :D

Folks,

Dan and Dave are looking at the months of February or March now to try and get us in the traveling show. They are thinking of doing one in NY and trying to time it with a Vermont appearance.

It also will allow more folks to see who can make it by pushing it out a month or two from the original proposed date of 1.14.12.

Please spread the word and get your fishing buddies involved. Let me know by PM, email or in this post as we add interested folks.!

See you at the taping workshop 1.13.12.

Thanks,

Ron

Hey Ron

Forgot to tell you the other day that you could add Brian to the list and I'll see if my cousin wants to go too.

With extra people I am around 55 people as of today 11/23.

It looks like it's a $50 admission fee for the half day class. There is a tackle bag for attendee's provided by sponsors and the seminar can run over 1/2 a day I have heard. A great bargain for the fee.

I am very optimistic we can pull this off! I sent an email to a dist. list earlier today of least 60 people mostly workshop attendees last year. I can think of 5 people I can call and ask that would go.

If the rest here are challenged to get at least one person or two it will be a slam dunk to get 45 more people for 100 or more.

There is a lot of people that don't have social media at there fingertips, but would go if contacted directly by phone. Lets make this happen.

Thanks,

Ron

I was going to be in N Carolina at a show on 1/14 but I am here Feb. and March. I will be there and I have at least 2 others that are a strong yes. A flier would be helpful. Ramel

The metaphor for me is one fishing trip with gas for both truck and boat and a full day of fishing can exceed $50. A learning experience like this will pay dividends.

Here is a great quote from a recent attendee and LCU united forum member by permission:

I went to this show when it was last offered in South Bend, IN. It was great! Prior to that I had spent over 35 years fishing in Lake Ontario. Their discussion on currents and depths as structure really put answers to a lot of prior questions.
I just received a Navigation map for Lake Champlain and combined with the deep water discussion above, I would be willing to bet that you have an untapped fishery from what I think I see. Minor point, but $50.00 worth of knowledge offset by a bag of tackle, makes this a bargain if you are planning on spending hundreds of dollars on gas next year trying to expand your knowledge base. His books and tapes are great as well, and no, I am not currently or in the past associated with Capt. Keating.

A friend of mine that run a charter business on LO assist to a Dan Keating seminar last spring.

He call me on his way back home and he was very enthousiast about all is learning from that seminar.

On the same summer he had is best year ever, and even caught a 38pds Chinook.

He will be coming in Burlington to assist.

Capt. Keating will focus his presentation for some Lake Champlain specifics I'm sure
