A simple thought for all the children who lost their mentor on 9/11 that would've taught them to fish, hunt and all the things that a mentor would pass on to a youngster. You were the innocence that was crushed forever. Hopefully, someone else stepped in and tried to fill the unfillable void.
Our prayers are with you kids, today, and always.

Great post.

As the father of a 6 year old, it hits home.

Well said fishmaster.

I have had some tough moments watching television today, and remembering.
WE WILL NOT FORGET...THIS IS AMERICA THE GREAT

I am proud to be an AMERICAN. I am proud of those that serve or have served this great country.
My thoughts are with ALL AMERICANS.

"I have three new Heroes now. They are...

New York's Bravest, the firefighters,

New York's Finest, the cops,

and the United States Marine Corps.

Because, as you know, before this thing is finished, it will be the Marine Corps that will go in and settle the score."

I walked through the door to the Today Show on the tv and just a minute later heard of the first plane. It wasn't long before the second one hit and I looked at my then wife and said it was terroist attack. I new then the world changed and it him home about a month later when watching CNN and I saw my old squadron of CH-53's taking off from an LHA in the Indian Ocean and a reporter talking to a mechanic I once served with.

First off I'd like to say thank you to all our service men and women in all branches of the service! ''THANK YOU'' I remember that day very well seeing the first jet hit the first tower thinking it was an accident, then the second one was sirreal and then you new it was'nt an accident. Today I looked up and down my street and noticed I was the only one with my flag flying and I thought how sad and on the other hand it pissed me off also! Some people forget to damn easy!! ''GOD BLESS AMERICA"
