A forum member ???
After 40 years of marriage, a husband and wife came for counseling.
When asked what the problem was, the wife went into a passionate,
painful tirade listing every problem they had ever had in the years they
had been married.
On and on and on: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness,
feeling unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry list of unmet needs
she had endured.
Finally, after allowing this for a sufficient length of time, the
therapist got up, walked around the desk and after asking the wife to
stand, embraced and kissed her passionately as her husband watched with
a raised eyebrow.
The woman shut up and quietly sat down as though in a daze.
The therapist turned to the husband and said, 'this is what your wife
needs at least 3 times a week. Can you do this?'
'Well, I can drop her off here on Mondays and Wednesdays. But on Fridays
, I fish.'

My wife doesn't like to drive, but she can reel 'em in. Best fishing partner a man could ask for. She must be related to Mike Iconelli (spelling ?) because there is no ceiling to the excitement when she's hauling in a big one. I grew up thinking that women didn't like to fish. Well, there seems to be a lot of ladies out there that have proven me wrong and can hold their own with a rod and reel. It's pretty cool when the "honey do" list includes prepping the boat for the weekend. Marriage ain't so bad as long as the fish are biting.
Play safe and enjoy.

In all honesty we share the driving.. Grew up on Lake St. Claire and spent a lot of time fishing on the great lakes for vacations with my father and grandfather.fishmaster176 wrote:My wife doesn't like to drive, but she can reel 'em in. My brother and Grandfather were on St. Clair which is where we fished often except for vacations. St. Claire used to be really good for Walleye but haven't been on it for years. We spent vacations either in the UP on a small lake, Lake Michigan, or now yearly on lake Huron in the Les Chenaeux Islands. Mother from Cheboygan, Mi.

Chalk up another....born in Petosky and then lived in Gaylord...used to fish Little Traverse Bay..Grand Traverse etc. Although very young, my favorite was a small trout stream near our house in Petosky....and we used to cruise the inland route on the Indian river...lake to river to lake to river....Vtfishinglady wrote:Wow, very small world! Just up the Interstate 75 from Gaylord is Cheboygan where my wife is from and we visit every August. 4 years I have posted a report from the Mack straits area each summer fishing for Kings.

Am I the only person on this site that was born in VT? By the way, my wife is from Willsboro, NY. Diversity means greater fish stories.
