What am I looking at here, the evenly-spaced objects on the ice, between the docks and camera?
They were not there two days ago...moorings, or buoys ready to be placed after ice-melt?

They have a bubblier system around the docks to keep them ice free. Those are Christmas trees used to warn travelers on the ice to keep away. Notice the open water around the docks.
DANGER...THIN ICE!!!

I noticed the bubblers working the day before yesterday for the first time, and the area of open water around the docks...and, they started leaving dock lighting on all night about a week ago, too...
Those Christmas trees were a mystery to me...
Those must be floating docks?
I'm a little surprised that floe ice in the Spring doesn't do damage.
