Annual striper trip to Chatham with Bob,Tim and Dan. Fished rips off Monomoy for three days. Fish moved the last ten days or so are were really happy to hit live mackerel and surface running Danny plugs. Biggest taken by Dan at better than 30 lbs . Many in the 30 to 38 inch range, 20 lbs +. We fished aboard the 26 ft Grady ,Irish Temper that we trucked down and parked for the summer in Pleasant bay, Chatham. Many thanks to Bob and Tim, our deer camp brethren. The fishin down there has just begun

Great stripers. Sure you had a great time on the water and plenty of bent rods.

You can fish out to a three mile line off shore , to fish striped bass. The Monomoy area is world renowned for stripers and bluefish cruising the coast. We fished the sand bar rip lines. Depths go from 30 -40 ft then up to just several feet causing compression of the tides. Predators hang in the current chasing bait . We did upwards of 75 fish on our best days
