Longfin went out just one time since WMO. Got back with 7 mahi mahi and released a White Marlin.
We were supposed to do an overnighter last weekend but Tom was sick. Now it's time to get her into storage till next spring.
Fished with Lance Monday on our pontoon Mr. Sea.
It was a beautiful day with sunshine and summer weather.
Unfortunately too many boats in the bay. We caught 6 flounders, 2 nice 18" keepers.
Will try to post pics.
We got hit by the leftover from Hurricane Michael during the night. Very strong winds and lots of heavy rain. This morning a big sunshine but still very strong winds. No apparent damages but flower beds, garbage cans, and anything not grounded moved a lot. We are still searching for one of our 150 gallons garbage bin that flew away.
Luckily the water did not raise too much, so no flooding.
There won't be much fishing for the next few days due to cloudy water.
Expecting much cooler weather during the next week.
I think it's almost time to consider putting the boat in storage and heading back North.
Glad to hear you were ok weathering 2 hurricanes this year down there... seems like your staying later this year. Good luck on your trip back North. Are you bringing your boat to shootout?
Got 3 in Reelax... it may be tight but your welcome to jump aboard with Raz Homewrecker and I. Don’t mind running 8 rods so I’d love it... let me know...
Salt water fishing is over for 2018.
Mr. Sea is now in storage, and Longfin will be very soon.
It's time to pack and go back to the North for walleye and salmon fishing.
See you all at the frostbite soon.
Well it was a great season in the OC. I got to spend another 7 wonderfull days visiting and 3 special days on the Longfin with you in the 2018 WMO. Though we didn’t weigh a marlin the blue we released the last day was a memory for the ages. Yea and then there were the 2 hurricanes you had to weather.... 2018 OC was sure adventurous! Here’s to 2019
