My 12 yr old nephew Bens first deer

Well, I left the shootout around 3 yesterday to get up to deercamp. Thought I was going to get to take my nephew out on sunday, but when I pulled into the yard, there was a nice fat doe hanging on the meatpole! My father took him out on saturday morning while I was fishing, and at around 11 am this doe came walking up to where they were sitting. My dad said he was amazed at how calm Ben was, as he pointed out an opening, and told him " when she walks out by that stump, shoot her!" Well, he did, and made a perfect double lung hit at about 75 yards. The deer ran about 30 yards, and piled up. I was disappointed that I had missed all the fun, but so proud of my nephew! I dont know who was happier, Ben, or my dad!

Very nice Randy!!! Im pretty sure he is hooked for life now!!! Whats better than a grandfather hunting with his grandson? Ill bet your nephew is bragging at school today!! Thanks for sharing!! Sleeps
