The European style skull mount is becoming very popular in my neck of the woods. Just dropped off my 8 point to a taxidermist in Broadalbin that specializes in this style mount. He uses beetles to deflesh the skull and a very strong peroxide solution to bleach it out. which helps keep all the fine structure in place. I also gave him an 11 point I took years ago during archery season, he's going to attach the rack to another deers skull. They also make synthetic skulls for this purpose. Some racks just belong on display no matter how many inches they are. This is a more affordable alternative to the conventional mount and looks great. The guy I'm using charges $100. He also had some bear skulls on display that looked awesome! Something to think about.
Safe hunting/See ya on the runway.

A hundred bucks is an inexpensive way to have a trophy memorialized.
My cousin Dan elected a European Mount for this buck he shot during bow season.

Hey Raz,
Just noticed your reply. What a buck that is! With a bow no less! That is going to be a fine looking euro mount.
