Re: Couple trail cam pics.

Interesting to see bucks in your food plots. Our plots at our adirondack camp only show does from the start of the fall planting to about October 1st. We always figured because those old horse head does keep the bucks away while the fawms are hanging tight to them as they are always hanging out near...

Re: Saturday Cannon Point 9/3 TR

Thanks for the report! Last week the cisco's were thick as thieves just south of the ball grabber, but couldn't find any silvers in that area willing to take the elevator ride to the cooler

Re: Frostbite question

Last year I keep my boat out a bit late, but sure did have some fun fishing some different Adirondack waters late in the season  My wife thought it was a bit extreme one afternoon until we got into an all out brown trout slam  The worst thing about frostbite fishing is it can get a...

Ausable Point

Rolled in friday afternoon and the nearshore water looked like chocolate milk. Wind and waves kept the boat on the trailer and pulled camp Sunday am to beat the storm. I was amazed at the level the spring flood was at in that area. We better hope the water goes down before winter or it will be anoth...

Re: Best Walleye strategies (post your best strategy)

Thanks for all of the info. I have caught more walleye during open water fishing this year than in my past do to some of the good information out there. Sure is a blast and the kids like catching them so it is all good!

Re: Luhr Jensen Shoehorn Spoon 3" lightweight size

I had seen a few of the magnum size spoons around and this is the first time I had seen them in the smaller size. Only issue I see with them is the trebble hook on them is like a grappling hook, and definately geared towards pacific salmon fishing. I will let you know how they work out on the lakers.

Bow Season Primer

Something to get the bowhunters fired up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCnzRpSsmi4 As a side note, on the trail cameras we are seeing decent #'s of bucks and a few bears at our southern adirondack camp and just as many deer as usual at our western NY camp. Looks to be a good season in light of the...

Luhr Jensen Shoehorn Spoon 3" lightweight size

Anyone ever try these on lakers?

Dicks Sporting Goods had them marked $4.99 but must be on clearance for $1.73 so I got a few to donate to davy jones locker.

Re: Thorny's new ride! The "Cathy-Jean Fishin-Machine"

Why my Beautifull Wife do not ask me to change my boat ? What is your trick ? Nice one :) I think you first have to get them hooked into going, then you start taking them out in the bone chilling cold and or rain. I am currently working on the later and the next boat is currently in the works for m...
