Re: Fishhook Flea infestation
The heavier line ( 30 lb) isn't much of a problem if you use a lighter longer leader. It is a compromise but it sure beats...

Re: Starting Battery for Frostbiting
Keith, Check your grounds . Also, check your cables with an Ohm meter. Corrosion results in resistance and may lower the delivered voltage enough to cause a problem when the batteries are not fully charged. Cables less than three feet should not have more than 0.03 ohms. It is easy enough to check a...

Re: Fleas
At Lake Ontario the fleas usually only latch on to the vertical lines down to the release. The horizontal line from the ball and the leader are usually pretty clean. I would use your standard leader and maybe run the lure a little farther back from the ball.

Re: Lake Willowby
We fished Willoughby last Friday and Saturday . Great weather and the lake was mobbed on Saturday with skiers, kayaks and paddleboards. The water temp was in the 70's down to 35 feet. There were marks throughout the water column both early and late in the day, but the fish in the colder water weren'...

Re: Broad lake 7/29
Just a question on the depth reading with the X4D . Is the depth calculated by the X4D PROBE as it does for the temp and the speed, or does the X4D TRANSDUCER determine the depth like a conventional transducer ? I ask because I usually get essentialy the same depth reading from both even though I'm ...
