Re: ROAD MAP TO SUCCESS
Fishing pressure is a huge detriment to catching fish. We try hard to fish away from the crowd but as soon as the net comes out you seem to have a lot of friends. I don't blame other anglers for this it's human nature. What we can all do better as a whole is to be more conscientious. Anglers on the ...

Re: Salmon collapse?
Just fished a four day stretch in two known salmon hot spots. Day 1- 7 for 12, day 2- 1 for 1 in 10 hours [yuck!}, day 3- 9 for 10 including our first big salmon[7 1/2] and a 5 lb brown, day 4 - 10 for 12. We had a hand full of really good days last spring as well then summer hit and things went to ...

lure color
we all seem to have our ideas on lure color selection for cretin conditions. I have done well with wonderbread on bright days and darker colors on cloudy days. I am curious about when to fish natural colors? Do you guys fish them just in clear water or is it a light thing ? thanks for the input, Matt

Re: Planer Mast Height
I believe that the Berts attach to their base with a screw that has a wing nut on the end. Big Jons use a larger screw with a large nut. Both make taking the mast down easy. I've seen alot of larger boats mounting just the reels on either side not using the masts.

Re: Westport - 12/9
It's not the responsibility of any fisherman to "teach" strangers. If there was another forum for tactics and techniques then those who wanted to could and others that wanted to show fish pics could continue to do so. I have always appreciated the "help" that some anglers on the ...

Re: Disappointing season - thus far
I am far from an expert but if everyone is in agreement that the salmon numbers lake wide are down wouldn't it be reasonable to close the the salmonoid fishing for the season? Probably not popular but less pressure hopefully equals more fish come spring. Unlimited fishing and seemingly unlimited tou...

Re: Fish Hawk Transducer question.
My set up looks the same as yours but the cross talk happens, maybe the brand of fishfinder units is to blame?
