Re: Lake Arrowhead is fishable

Fished almost 4 hours in the rain yesterday on the north end between the highbridge and river channels west of the boat launch. The boys and I drilled dozens of holes, all were around 4" thick. No a singlle bite, switched up bibbets, spoons, halis... everything, nothing in the shallows or in th...

It just kept taking line, never did jump, just kept going for the bottom. What a blast! Never in my wildest dream would I hav...

Re: Any Suggestions on Where to Hunt Grouse in NW VT?

Try Fairfield Swamp for sure..... or head up to Montgomergy way. Lived on West Street in Fairfield for 5 years. Swamp side 15 acres and we had partridge everywhere (and hunters riding the road back & forth looking for them too). Chase around one very very large buck deep in that swamp for 3 sea...

Re: Vermont Public Television invite!

Matt has good fortune on his side...and maybe a horseshoe hidden somewhere on his person? Anyhow, congrats Matt, you've done sooo much better than I have down in the hole. I've managed one nice steelhead and several smallies, all of which fell one inch shy of entering for the MA program...oh well so...

Re: Huge salmon near grand isle

For what this is worth, even though I've only caught two salmon, and both were minimum sized and totally "lucked" into them, I have seen large salmon of the size of that one posted in this forum first hand. I took my canoe and drifted around over a spot that is known to hold salmon when th...

Arrowhead

Fished Arrowhead in the canoe (solo) all day from 10AM until 7PM, and I wish my phone canera took better pictures. The fishing was so-so, upstream of the bridges, water moving really fast but the wind was faster since it was pushing me against the current. Managed one hookup but lost it fast due to ...
