Congratulations that is a nice salmon. You put in a lot of time and it is paying off. Too bad you had to pull the boat but maybe you can copilot for someone this fall. Ramel

Re: Hydro 1 update 10/2/11
It's great to see record numbers of fish coming back but its too bad the state is not moving them above the dam. I stopped at the Ed Weed hatchery last week and talked to one of the biologists there and he said they had permission at the very end of last year to move them up but had been told not to...

Re: FOR THE LOVE OF DAIWA
I agree 100%. I will have to check out the Saltist when I go to the show this January. I'll make shure to grab a few catalogs. How much are autographs? RamelI'm a HUGE fan of the Sealine series line counter reels. I use the 17's mostly and they hold a ton of line for a little real.

The OR-16 and 2 sizes of torpedo divers are in stock at The Old Fishing Hole in Morrisville. RamelWhat outfit did you order from and do the OR-16's come from the same place?

Re: Trick to get rid of backlashes
That trick works great but you can't pull it too tight before you start. The trick is to put your thumb over where the loop you are stuck on is so if its stuck against the edge of the spool you need to push your thumb into the corner. It doesn't work every time but it will get out 98% of them if you...

Re: Time for Copper and Lead? Running the junk...
I tried copper on Champlain and not much challenge but it was neat that you could feel every little twitch the fish made. The one thing it had over leadcore is the positive ions the copper gives off don't know if that matters or not but it didn't hurt. If you set up a copper rig the 55L is the small...

Re: Champlain Walleye
We have had many discussions about walleye this year at the shop. One thing that hasn't already been mentioned about this spring is that angling pressure was little to none and the effect that will have on the overall population. Hopefully they were able to spawn successfully and the fry made it but...
