Re: Some cross fertilization

Gus,

Thanks for joining our "United" forum. Everyone appreciates your input from the Granite state. Especially the pre-spawn behavior of the Winni salmon as we try to drill down and make progress here heading into September and October. Please keep your insights ongoing. Good stuff!

Best Walleye strategies (post your best strategy)

Our best evening August trolling strategy in the 80's: Start with 6 lb. cannonballs on two riggers. Lead is 8 feet on one at 30 feet down and the other is 25 feet lead at 25 feet down. Shallow running long A Bombers in small and medium (4 1/2" size with bloody nose or blue. Start 30 minutes bef...

Re: Champlain Walleye

The month of August which used to be our best night action on the Sea from 1980-1987 with spoon bill rebels and bomber Long A's has almost returned to the hey day of that era. Stave Island and Converse as well. Good to see that kind of excitement again and people fishing with success and sharing onl...

Re: When would be the right time to announce new forum...

I picked about 15 people and sent emails and pm's on the old forum. If everyone does this which is happening as Raz says it will cover most of the people. Word is getting out quickly this way.

Oh BTW "no worries"

8/10/11 Wednesday Port Douglas (Digital Auto pilot test)

3 weeks ago was my last trip out on our lake out of the Winooski river with one of my shoot-out partners Lazy C's. We launched out of the Winooski river with a lake level at 95.6 ft. There were places less than 2 feet coming out on plane but managed to have no issues out of the delta. We headed acro...

Re: Port Douglas Aug 27

Thanks for the great detail Gerry! Like to hear reports out of Port Douglas. What a protected ramp to launch from and fish.

Re: Thorny's new ride! The "Cathy-Jean Fishin-Machine"

Rob,

My 2nd view. You stole that boat! Where did you find her? The transfer of fish catching stuff from your old boat is going to be a lot of fun. Very envious!

Re: Welcome!

This forum already in 12 hrs has the feel the old forum had 2.5 years ago. Nice to see that atmosphere back and be a part of.

When we look back it will be Hurricane Irene that brought the forces together here on Lake Champlain United! Welcome one welcome all!

Re: Inland Sea 8-26-2011

Dont forget the intermediate depths just above the deep with slide divers. 150 ft on one side and 180 ft. on the other side. Fish are deep, but they will come up to hit the slides at 50' and 60' set at 150-180 ft on the counter. Fish will come up to feed out of temp. :)
