Thanks Gerry. Only turn 62 once. 3 years to fishing weekdays and kissing the corporate world goodbye.

Re: Fishing Access Area Rule Changes????

As has been said, laws mean nothing if they aren't enforced. Priority use for fishing boats? That's a joke. Boat ramp ettiquette. Only among fishermen. Every use allowed needs to have a cost attached. That's only fair.

Re: Winterizing boat/using it in Nov/Dec?

After working at a marine shop, my advice for a 2 stroke outboard is simple. Treat the gas no matter if it's non ethanol. Yes to fogging oil. Absolutely NO to starting fluid. It can build up pressure and blow out the crank seals. Yes to Fluid Film on trailer. Make sure your fuel lines and primer bul...

Looks like those salmon have been eating well. Gotta love the excitement of the whole crew. Future frostbiters.

Re: Hatchery brook 10/13

I don't understand allowing fishing in this area during the spawning runs. It's like raping a pregnant woman. Let the run happen in peace. I know there are people that can't afford boats, but there are lots of places to fish and other very tasty species to catch without stressing the vulnerable ones.

I have trouble handling a 6 1/2' fly rod. I would think you could cast across the river, but the back cast must tricky. Hoping the rains come and raise the water levels.

Re: Help finding pike

Walleye or Northerns? Malletts Bay along the railroad bed has worked well and Missisquoi Bay always holds fat Northerns. Walleye spots are more secretive, but boats have been spotted at night on the Inland Sea.

Wasn't it last year that some guy was caught? The fishery has enough trouble as it is. Hope he gets nailed.

Water clarity in the IS

Planning on heading out on the IS on Sunday and was wondering how clear the water is. I've heard it was getting rather pea soupy and affecting the bite. I'd appreciate any news. Thanks.
