ANDRE, THIS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING I WOULD RATHER SEE GUYS GO OUT GET THERE 3 FISH LIMIT AND KEEP THEM AND THEN FISH SOMETHING ELSE. THAN GO OUT AND RELEASE 30 FISH AND NOT KEEP ANY THE LIMIT DOES NO GOOD IF YOU CATCH 30 FISH AND KILL 40 PERCENT OF THEM THATS 12 FISH WHEN YOU ARE ONLY ALLOW...

Keith you can also run a pancake on probe that will reduce blow back alot

That's a beautiful Lake Trout Keith and I love the way he is being held no hands in the gills wish more guys would handle them that way nice job. By the way Keith just a little tip for you always make your rigger with the probe the highest running line you will be much less apt to lose it that way.

These fish are trying to reproduce leave them alone there are plenty of other places to fish.

Good reels with a very lose drag and tire them out before you get them to the boat is the best bet. A Salmon that is still green when he gets to the downriggers will make the best anglers look like a green horn. Less pressure on the fish means less jumps is what I find.

Lamprey are still a problem for sure. But I believe Double Crested Cormorants are the biggest problem now.

I think everyone should still be concerned there are Salmon but I still believe numbers are down compared to a couple of years ago

I find it is a 2.7 ratio ( what I mean by that is if you take the amount of line you have out and divide by 2.7 that will be close to the depth it is running at 100 divided by 2.7 =37 feet ) with big ring and no weight kit at 2mph. with 50lb braid and it does go deeper when in corners.
