Converse 11-17-12
Started my week of vacation off by installing a new Raymarine radio by drop light last night. My Uniden crapped out at some point last weekend, I could sometimes hear people but could never transmit. It worked fine that morning... Was going to hit the broad lake this morning but after watching the f...

WFW - congrats to you and Ben and it looks like you two are enjoying yourselves. Full freezers are the way to go and that moose will do it. Two years ago watching the horse pull our moose out was one of my favorite scenes. See you guys this weekend.

Andre - those are some nice fish and you don't see steelhead that often in the late fall. I was up there two weeks ago but no takers for me. I have seen several gnarled up males like that one taken this year. Thanks for the post!

Always a pleasure Gerry, even when the fish don't cooperate. White perch don't count, but you're right the conditions were outstanding.
Think I'll spend the day on the Clyde River tomorrow after some big salmon and smallmouth.

Agreed and with the amount of trail camera's hanging today, the odds are quite good someone would have pulled a good pic of one by now.

Re: To probe, or not to probe. Temp/speed?
Had a day on the broad lake two summers ago in a hard north wind where my brother, his two boys and I put a whupping on the salmon. Trouble was we could only get fish going south with the waves, with GPS speeds around 3.3. We thought they wanted fast lures so we tried up to 4+ into the wind and barl...
