Re: Trolling?

Welcome to the forum Murdario.
I would love to help you, but I am presently on the Atlantic shores till October.
There are plenty of good fishermen on this forum and you will certainly find some to share their knowledge on the water.

Re: Closing soon: THE OLD FISHING HOLE GUN SHOP

Even if its a bit far from home, I used to go there almost every year. I love that store. So much stuff, and Ramel is a great person.
Will miss the store and mostly the person a lot.

Congrats on your first lake trout. It's always the hardiest to catch. Now that you are addicted, it will be more fun everytime.

Re: Ocean City 2022

Not the Yellowfin.... the Longfin. Unfortunately Tom and Lance sold the boat and their summer home in Ocean City last year. No more fishing for me on the Longfin   Luckly I still have friends and neighbors with boats to go offshore. With price of fuel at $6 at the marinas, we cannot get ou...

Re: Ocean City 2022

Great catch! I want to see you fillet that beast. Catching tuna is the first third, but then you need to carve it up and serve it. Waiting on further pics! Well done! Hi Scott, the owner of the "Turn me Loose" is a charter captain and has lot of experience fillet fish. The picture below i...

Re: Ocean City 2022

Wow, thats a great fish. Anything that takes an hour and fifteen minutes to reel in is awesome ! Did you get the length and weight ? Length 52" We did not get a chance to weigh it, but estimate around 45-50 lbs. It was a very hot day, so we fillet the fish quickly after we removed it from ice.

Re: Ocean City 2022

Today was another great day on the water. We left early this morning for an offshore trip, about 20 miles out on our neighbor's fishing vessel, a 26' sailfish with twin 150 hp yamaha. Trolled for a while, but even if we could see some tunas breaking the surface, the rods kept quiet. Close to noon, w...

Re: Ocean City 2022

All fish besides the king mackerel were caught in the bay or in the jetty from our pontoon "Mr. Sea".
Unfortunately, our friends the Smith family (Lance, Janet, Tom) sold their house and the Longfin last year. They are no longer spending their summers in Ocean City.

Re: Ocean City 2022

Today I spent some time catching spots for bait. I caught many but most were too big for bait. I finally got a few that were the right size and used them to fish stripers. The striper bite was fun. I managed to get 3 to the boat and got broken a few times. They were all released to grow bigger. IMG_...

Re: Ocean City 2022

Thursday July 28 was a very hot day. I had to go on the water to cool off. When it's too hot, fish don't bite so I decided to go clamming. I had to wait a bit until tide was low enough and found a shallow area less than 2 feet deep where I could rake for clams. In 2 hours, I found 43 clams only, I w...
