Re: What the H-E- Double Hockey sticks is going on with this site?
Matt, I certainly don't want to see the demise of another forum and, I'll also leave it with this last response. I sincerely hope that by "vigilant", that will mean fair and equal consideration for everyone, regardless of what their tenure with this site is. In this case, that did not happe...

Reelax, Again, I'm not trying to stir up trouble and that is NOT my way but, You have the ability to go into a profile and Pull up a members Posts. I just did that on his profile and went back through April looking for where he was putting up offensive posts. Other than a few that were in response t...

Raz,
Thank you. I understand. Maybe I'll catch up with you "under the mountain" sometime.

Re: What the H-E- Double Hockey sticks is going on with this site?
C-Hawk, The reason neither of us have opportunities to submit fishing reports is that I do not have internet when we're out at the camp and by the time we get home, our information is usually outdated. I'm sorry you feel that way about his posts. Like I said, neither he nor I have any issue with you...

What the H-E- Double Hockey sticks is going on with this site?
I've been away for a couple of weeks and find out that my father got banned for the site. As far as I can tell, it all centers around him being "suspected" of being someone else and using too many question marks in his posts! If anyone had bothered to look, I have posted numerous times in ...

Re: Inland Sea Rudd!!
Just so everyone knows, "Dick Baker" is my father and usually fishing with me on the Inland Sea since I usually bring my boat out to our camp in Grand Isle anyway. (My boat is a new Black Tracker Targa, with or without fisherman's top depending on the weather and crew!) As far as pictures ...

Re: IS Report 5/27 and 5/28
Well, I guess I don't feel so bad now. We went out for the weekend blind and chased salmon for the morning on Friday and Saturday. Out on the water by 5:30 both days. Friday looked perfect with salmon chop, cloud cover and occasional sprinkles. First day out, surface water temps stayed pretty consis...

Re: Learning Curve
I'm a firm believer in the prop wash bite but, I feel like it is more about the flash of the bubbles, activity or motion that attracts them. We often are running the riggers around 10-15' down and 10-15' back, especially in early morning. In the past, we used the electric trolling motor to quiet the...

Re: Reelax's Datillios derby report - Day#1 - video added- Day 2 added
Wow! Just plain Wow! I don't think anyone is going to blame you a bit for getting just a tad excited when you netted that fish. Just a little over a pound shy of the all time state record and an absolute monster. The only problem now is, how do you top that? Congratulations to the whole crew. Now, w...

Re: Broken Pole
Monster fish, definitely. Lost fish always gain 30-50% in size anyway by rule and I would argue that a broken rod is worth at least a 75% gain in size! Besides, how many rods have I donated to bowfin now? Not to mention, I remember someone trying to do his best to break an ugly stick hung up on the ...

Re: economical fishfinder suggestions
As with a lot of things, brand preference in sonar/GPS is going to lean toward what you're used to running. Humminbird, Garmin and Lowrance all put out good models but I happen to prefer Lowrance because that's what I'm used to. I would say that yes, you could use your phone for your GPS but, one tr...

Re: Catch and release
Funny you should mention that fishmaster. I was trying to catch up on some of the posts today and happened to go to the VT fish and game site to research something. They have a specific link on there right now talking up the catch and release bass fishing this time of year. The part that I thought w...

I was already thinking I sided with you that it was a brown too. That tail just looked square and I'm guessing, if his mouth had been closed, his jaw would have been well behind the eye. No doubt that was a challenging one to ID though. Congratulations on a nice fish though.

Wow! I think that may really test the saying that "a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work".

Dillie "worms". You'll see them in the same convenience store coolers with worms and crawlers.
