Re: fishing the skinny water on the inland sea
Nice read Matt, good to hear the Sea is hopping. Those marks look like a swing and a miss from an eagle/osprey.

Trolling reels
I know we've beaten this topic to death in previous threads and I don't want to start that again but I'm interested in what people are getting for longevity out of their trolling reels. Over the last 5-6 years I really took a liking to the Daiwa Sealine series and had 7 of them. I usually average 50...

Whalons 82315

I didn't have high hopes of much salmon action but knew we could stack up the lakers and it really didn't matter as I only get to fi...

Re: 90 horse merc trolling
It's a matter of opinion for sure, but I have 900 hrs on my 115 in five seasons and I will never go to the dark side of having a kicker. That's a couple thousand dollars worth of lures I can buy that I won't use a 5 years from now!

Go fishing with other people and selectively remove from their supply when they're not looking!

2013 was my first year with it and trust me in saying you won't be disappointed. Like you I fish solo more often than not and like everyone else I have no idea what I did without it! Even with people on board it's handy. Good luck with it and let us know how much you like it.

Jeremy - it was good chatting with everyone the last few days and good to see you on the mend! Looks like some chilly temps rolling in to hopefully jump start the bite above 95 feet!
