Re: Fleas in the broad lake?
I fished between Schuyler Island and the reef and did not pick up any fleas , but we fished Willsboro Bay today and they are starting to show up again. We boated six and released one yesterday day including three 24 “ and a fat 28 incher with a 15 inch girth . Today in the Bay we had the pleasure of...

Re: PLine Florocarbon problem
Have you tried soaking the spool in hot water? I don’t know but I’ve heard that helps sometime.

Willsboro Bay
We fished Willsboro Bay August 10th & 12th plenty of fish scattered from 45 - 80 ft. . Also a few lakers hugging the bottom . We boated two 20 inch salmon down at 70 feet and back 20 on an orange crush and 1 - 26 inch laker with no fins clipped . Lake seemed fairly clean and only a few fleas .

I fished Willsboro Bay today with no results . Fish were scattered but no takers . We tried from 20 to 130 ft and dumped the tackle box on them but no luck. We will head for Schuyler Island in the morning.

Re: FLEAS
Fished Willsboro Bay this morning thru early afternoon . Landed four from 28 - 19 with no real favorites for lures . Lots of fleas ,had to hand line them most of the way in even with 40lb. Lost a few that way hopefully they won’t last long this year.

Wilsboro Bay
Fished the Bay today and boated six lakers and one small salmon . The salmon was only 14 inches but I won't complain because it is the first one I've boated in a year and 1/2 . The lakers are running small as well 14 thru 21 inches but made for a good season finisher . We caught them from 110 down a...

Re: Fleas
I fished Wilsboro Bay Tuesday and today . Fleas are very thick and making it quite a chore to reel your lines back in while stopping two or three times on a long retrieve . I've read that Andes 40lb. Mono helps ?

Re: Slow slow year
I've fished the northern part of Wilsboro Bay and south of Schuyler Island this several mornings year and have had good luck on lakers but even after trolling almost everything in the tackle box have yet to land a silver last year or this one so far but I'll give it another try tomorrow.

Wilsboro Bay
My wife and I I fished out of Wilsboro Bay Saturday morning for our first trip of the year . Found water temps from about 47 surface down to 39 deg. with some fish on bottom at about one hundred feet in the Bay . We made the swing in front of Hatch Point and started showing fish from just below the ...

Re: Port Henry -10/8
I,m glad that you could recover in time to get back out before the cold weather shuts us down . I agree with Tru Viking about being friends with most of the fishermen that we meet . I fish out of Wilsboro so I haven't been down to the ledge that you are speaking of but I have a buddy that told me of...

Re: Releases when using 40 lb mono for spiders
I am running blacks as well with good results ( 7 good lakers this Monday ) . I am running about 20 ft of fluorocarbon leader barrel swiveled to my main line taking 6 twists at the release ,cranking down on a medium drag . Hope this helps . Tight lines and twitching releases !
