Re: Sign of theTimes?
Thanks Todd for your response, I 1000% agree with you on this one. This season is crazy concerning the weather and you have to think outside the box. If we were only fishing with spoons and downrigger you would have to consider less than 1/3 of the 106 hits we had in 5 days (40 hours) of fishing red...

We were running the spoons between 2.2 and 2.4 mph at the ball.

Thanks guys... we raised and drop the 6 rods program (including the planer boards) 5 times to cover as much water as possible. At the end of the day every member of the crew knew their routine before heading to the ramp, ha ha.

We tought it was a another big laker so we were really relax... until we saw the green back of this monster 20 feet from the boat!!! After a knee bend and a loud scream we reduced the boat speed and took the larger net and pray, ha ha ha. It's our new record on this lake my biggest was 6,25 pounds.

Rainy but fishy trip for the last two days. Never worked that hard to find some salmons on lake Champlain, it was a great challenge ! The bait was deep, we scouted for 5-6 hours with only 3-4 hits starting at Converse, going to every single spot we know on our way south as far as Port Henry. We deci...

Re: Learning Curve
Thanks for the comments and for this post guys ! I learned so much as well so my learning curve is still going up because of discussions like that. Didn't mentioned but were running boards for the leadcores alternating with flatlines. Leadcores were 1 and 1,5 colors so potentially in the the same st...

Re: Port Henry
Fishing god was good to us at Port Henry this weekend. Fished all day saturday and until noon sunday. Fished with two riggers down 10 and 14 feet, back 15 feet with cheaters, 2 dipsy and leadcores. Surprisingly leadcores produced just 1 or 2 fish, riggers was the key. 23 hits on saturday all salmons...

Re: Port Henry
We went to Port Henry friday and saturday. We went 9 for 13 friday afternoon (was too hot to fish, no wind at all!) and hit something like 30 salmons and 1 brown on saturday. The bay was good early in the morning by 7:30 we already had 15 hits but after that with the south wind picking up the bait m...

Re: Port Henry
Yes indeed Fishy1! That's why I use my GPS to make sure we are on the good side of the line and remove rods when necessary... I'll have a look at the pictures. Love them!
Thanks Hairbone! Will do.

Re: Port Henry
Thanks fishy1. Sorry Hairbone if my message seems rude but I have the utmost respect for this game, travelling everywhere to put the boat on the fish and always do my homework before leaving. This is a 4 hours drive from home to get to that spot and it's all worth it!
