Re: Lithium battery

As long as you don’t plan on using them in the winter months and charging them at lower temps than 30 degrees. The cheaper ones don’t have a low temp protection but if you do charge them that could damage the battery. Many of them have a built in low temp charge prevention and high amp draw protecti...

Re: Scotty Downriggers-HELP !

You can mount them on these. Cannon Aluminum Fixed Base Pedestal Mount. The base should fit on the gunnels. Scotty plates can mount to the top. They are different heights too. You can mount them direct or use a track system.

Re: Down-Rigger Balls

I would go with the heaviest weight you can handle with your riggers. Pancake weights are good too. Less drag.
Amazon has some choices with free shipping.

Re: Fish Hawk II

Myself I would use the vertical flashers below my probe. One less weak link to keep from losing the probe. I put a brand new set of verticals on once and gently dropped the ball in the water to only lose both ball and verticals. Something was definitely defective in the assembly of the vertical. Bal...

Re: The Browns win Sunday football fest.

Here is another image 2d vs DI. You can see how the DI separation really shows individual bait fish.

Re: The Browns win Sunday football fest.

Here is a 2d sonar pic and the same on DI. If it wasn’t for the down image pic I wouldn’t know for sure if it was all baitfish. With DI you can actually see the individual baitfish. They are Alwives. The top disturbance was from a boat that had powered across in front me. It’s the turbulence from hi...

Re: Afternoon Report

Here is a screen shot of the same bait ball of alewives in 2 d then Down image with fish reveal in 60 ft of water. I have had the same look in 2d on bottom and then with the down image it will show up as tree top or something. With just 2d it is sometimes hard to decipher. The Down Image you can jus...

Re: Ulterra with i-pilot link

I have the terrova that I use for steering the boat while trolling. I just use the auto pilot capibilties. It’s real nice when fishing solo you don’t have to worry about steering the boat while landing a fish or setting up riggers. I don’t fish Champlain that much but most places I do fish 1.5 is th...
