Annual Coast Guard Aux. inspection

I have been getting my boat inspected for 25 years every year. Alan Nye was here a few days ago to inspect it at the mancave. His email is: anyeessex@aol.com if anyone is interested.

Re: State of the Lake Mtg. -

Thanks for posting this! Nice summary. Look forward to the You Tube video in a few months. We have seen a ton of lamprey in Whalon's this year! Yet up in the Sea nothing just talon marks on a few fish from the Osprey. I was told that the closest treatments by Brad was north Bouquet and to the southe...

Re: Passing of Charter Frostbiter

Nice post on your close friend Dave. I was lucky enough to fish with Dave on your boat on several occasions. He was fun to fish with and the stories were endless on those frostbite trips. Sad to see him pass a great friend of yours and sportsman. Dave was an integral part of the frostbite experience...

Re: Fish Hawk Show New product release last night!

X4D give you depth. Ultra is that style.

X4 no depth older model. Need the probe one step down from the Ultra.

They will work with older systems ie. compatible. I use my older style probe as a backup to my new one.

Re: Fish Hawk Show New product release last night!

These probes will work with any existing system. You don't have to buy the new display and package. Thats the beauty of it! If you had an X4D you want the Ultra probe.

Re: Fish Hawk Show New product release last night!

The probe can be recharged in the boat in 15 minutes to get you thru your trip and then a full 2 hours of charge time at home. No wires or battery holders in the probe anymore or need to unscrew it to replace batteries. With it's smaller shape results in less blow back pulling it on your rigger. It'...

Re: Saturday in the northern fleet

My Samsung had GPS capability it was around $125 4 years ago. I bought the Amazon tablet for $50 last August for my Smart Troll. Didn't need GPS for that. So maybe it doesn't have GPS capability?

Re: Saturday in the northern fleet

Amazon tablets 9" start around $50. Light and not as heavy as an I-pad. I use one for my GPS and another for my Smart Troll system. Never had an issue.
New with warranty!

Re: Lake Ontario Salmon School 3/9/24 Pulaski

It has been decades since we had a school in the east. The Niagara trip is a long one for a class for me and it's always kept me and other from making it in winter. There are already plans for a class again in 2025 based on the success of this one. Pulaski is a lot closer! It's great they have this ...

Re: Trailer plate in water at Converse ramp

Most people never think to check the trailer plate until one day in the future "Uh Oh it's missing" moment. Good to get the word out there who was out that Sunday in the full parking lot to check their trailers. Thanks Matt! Great catch for you guys BTW..

Re: Trailer plate in water at Converse ramp

The plate was still on the cement pier as of Friday. That was the most trailers and vehicles that day we were out 8 days ago Sunday as I have ever seen! We had a late start that day at 11:00 am.

Re: March 8th on the Pond

It was nice to start the day after the rollers were slowing down after 9 am. Some Shoot-out qualifying salmon brought aboard today and great food! Thanks Randy! We will try again soon! Nice write up! A very enjoyable day!
