Re: Saturday in the northern fleet

My Samsung had GPS capability it was around $125 4 years ago. I bought the Amazon tablet for $50 last August for my Smart Troll. Didn't need GPS for that. So maybe it doesn't have GPS capability?

Re: Saturday in the northern fleet

Amazon tablets 9" start around $50. Light and not as heavy as an I-pad. I use one for my GPS and another for my Smart Troll system. Never had an issue.

Re: Lake Ontario Salmon School 3/9/24 Pulaski

It has been decades since we had a school in the east. The Niagara trip is a long one for a class for me and it's always kept me and other from making it in winter. There are already plans for a class again in 2025 based on the success of this one. Pulaski is a lot closer! It's great they have this ...

Re: Trailer plate in water at Converse ramp

Most people never think to check the trailer plate until one day in the future "Uh Oh it's missing" moment. Good to get the word out there who was out that Sunday in the full parking lot to check their trailers. Thanks Matt! Great catch for you guys BTW..

Re: Trailer plate in water at Converse ramp

The plate was still on the cement pier as of Friday. That was the most trailers and vehicles that day we were out 8 days ago Sunday as I have ever seen! We had a late start that day at 11:00 am.

Re: March 8th on the Pond

It was nice to start the day after the rollers were slowing down after 9 am. Some Shoot-out qualifying salmon brought aboard today and great food! Thanks Randy! We will try again soon! Nice write up! A very enjoyable day!

Re: State of teh Lake Fisheries Mtg.

I went last year when it was in Plattsburgh... Very interesting 4 hours with a variety of presenters. I would highly recommend going. A chance to ask questions and see the data first hand. Even better data wise with NY / VT / USFW than our past get togethers at the Miller Center.

Re: Fish Hawk Show New product release last night!

Fish Hawk for the riggers and Smart Troll for divers. Starting with the Fishhawk use the data for temp. and depth from the Fish Hawk probe on the rigger running 60-64F to start. Then the Smart Troll spacing them apart with the diver rods below the Fish Hawk probe. Once active depths are determined f...

I never remove my probe off the rigger anymore. Very light weight and saves taking off and removing unless to charge.

Re: Frostbite Shootout 2023 Results

Nice seeing Randy / Fathead and his best friend SeaBill. I enjoy these lunch get togethers to hand off the trophy after the engraving is done! The food at Snaps is amazing! Thanks for the invitation Randy and great seeing the guys!
